My name is Janine (J9 for short).  I'm a mixed media artist located in my lifelong home of Minnesota.  This is my online gallery where you can find painterly still lifes, quiet landscapes, and layered domestic textures celebrating moments of visual poetry.

Each piece begins with a gesture, a shadow, a shape half-seen; then builds into an exploration of color, rhythm, and emotion.
